Location: Hinckley, Leicestershire
Salary: Up to £60,000 per annum
Hours: Full-Time or Part-Time

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, examine, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
  • Manage acute, minor illness, and chronic conditions
  • Prescribe safely within local formularies
  • Request and interpret investigations, refer when needed
  • Support health promotion and patient self-management
  • Maintain accurate patient records and follow professional standards
  • Respond to emergencies (e.g., cardiac arrest, anaphylaxis)
  • Participate in audits, training, and service improvement initiatives

Person Specification

  • Essential: Registered Nurse (NMC), Independent Prescriber, autonomous primary care experience
  • Desirable: Master's qualification or working towards, ANP experience in General Practice, familiarity with SystmOne/Clarity Teamnet

Practice Overview

  • Large GP surgery in Hinckley town centre, smaller dispensing site in Stoke Golding
  • 11,000 patients across two sites
  • Hybrid appointment model: online requests + telephone triage
  • Multidisciplinary clinical team including GPs, ANPs, paramedic practitioner, nurses, HCAs, pharmacists, and social prescribers
