Location: Lowestoft, Suffolk
Full-Time or Part-Time (can work 37.5 hours over 4 days)
Salary: Up to £26 per hour (up to £50,000 per annum)

Job Summary
A forward-thinking GP practice is seeking an experienced and motivated Lead Practice Nurse to provide clinical leadership and support the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred care. This role combines hands-on nursing with team leadership and service development. Applications are welcome from experienced practice nurses ready to step into a leadership role.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise, and support the nursing team (including appraisals and mentoring)
- Deliver and coordinate clinical services (chronic disease management, immunisations, wound care, cervical screening, health promotion)
- Ensure compliance with clinical guidelines, infection control, and governance standards
- Contribute to audits, quality improvement, and service development
- Work collaboratively with GPs and multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain accurate clinical records (e.g. SystmOne)
- Support safeguarding, patient wellbeing, and holistic care
- Monitor performance targets (e.g. QOF/LCS)

Person Specification
Essential:
- NMC registered nurse
- Degree (or equivalent)
- 3-5 years post-qualification experience
- Primary care/practice nursing experience
- Strong clinical skills (e.g. chronic disease management, immunisations, wound care, cervical screening)
- Ability to work autonomously and maintain accurate records
Desirable:
- Leadership experience
- Chronic disease qualifications
- Non-medical prescribing (or willingness to train)
- Experience with audits, clinical governance, and venepuncture
