Paramedic Practitioner - New Cross, Lewisham, South East London
Location: New Cross, Lewisham, South East London
Salary: £55,000 - £60,000 per annum (DOE)
Hours: Flexible - full or part-time considered

Healthii People are working with a large, modern GP practice in New Cross, Lewisham to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated Paramedic Practitioner. The practice cares for around 15,800 patients from a diverse and vibrant community, with excellent transport links (DLR, Overground and National Rail all nearby).

The practice is a training and teaching environment with a strong multidisciplinary team, including GPs, ANPs, a Clinical Pharmacist, nurses and HCAs. They value kindness, compassion and collaboration, and take pride in delivering high-quality care to all. Dedicated clinics are run for the homeless, asylum seekers and patients with substance misuse challenges, and the practice is also recognised as a Gold Standard LGBTQ+ practice.

The Role

The Paramedic Practitioner will:

  • Deliver patient care through clinics, triage, on-call duties and home visits
  • Provide acute and chronic disease management, including minor illness
  • Undertake post-discharge reviews and continuity of care for vulnerable patients
  • Work closely with the wider multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, evidence-based care
  • Use advanced assessment and diagnostic skills, referring and prescribing as appropriate (within scope of practice)

About You

  • HCPC registered Paramedic (FDSc/BSc or equivalent)
  • Minimum 2 year's experience in primary care or a similar setting
  • Skilled in triage, minor illness and managing undifferentiated conditions
  • A strong communicator and team player with commitment to patient-centred care
  • Desirable: Independent Prescriber qualification, experience in teaching/mentoring
