We are working with a well-established GP surgery in Oxfordshire and they are seeking a dedicated Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) to join their growing, high-performing clinical team. With a patient population of over 18,000 and a strong CQC rating, this practice offers a progressive and supportive environment focused on training, development, and outstanding patient care.
🔍 About the Role:
The incoming ANP will take on a senior clinical role, supporting patients with long-term conditions, acute exacerbations, and minor injuries or illnesses. You will work autonomously while collaborating closely with GPs and the wider multidisciplinary team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Face-to-face and telephone triage consultations
- Delivering evidence-based care across a wide range of conditions
- Implementing clinical policies and procedures
- Contributing to team leadership and mentoring junior nursing staff
- Supporting training as part of a teaching practice for both medical and nursing students
✅ Essential Requirements:
- Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) or Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
- Advanced Nurse Practitioner (RCN Accredited) or Advanced Clinical Practitioner (RCEM Accredited) qualification
- V300 Independent Prescribing Qualification
- Accredited Mentorship Qualification
💼 Desirable Experience:
- Previous work in General Practice, Walk-in Centres, Urgent Care, A&E or Out-of-Hours services
- Evidence of teaching/mentoring junior staff
- Evidence of clinical audits
- Up-to-date knowledge of DOH and NICE guidelines
- Strong understanding of safeguarding, domestic abuse issues, and IT/library research skills
