Practice Nurse- Bootle
Job description
Role: Practice Nurse (Primary Care)
Employer: A GP Surgery
Location: Bootle, Liverpool
Closing Date: Sunday 28th September 2025
Contract: Permanent, full-time or part-time options available
Salary: Up to £43,000 per annum (pro rata)
Additional Option: Opportunity to locum at the surgery for one month before committing to a permanent role
Key Responsibilities
- Provide and maintain a high professional standard of nursing care, following practice policies and guidelines.
- Assist GPs and the wider primary health-care team.
- Be flexible, work to your competence, and potentially expand the role as needed by the practice.
- Specific clinical duties include chronic disease management, cervical screening, child immunisations, sexual health & contraception services, and health promotion/screening.
Person Specification / Requirements
Essential qualifications / features:
- Registered Nurse with valid NMC registration.
- UK-recognised degree in nursing relevant to the post.
- Evidence of ongoing professional development (NMC re-validation or equivalent).
- Post-graduate qualification in an area of practice (this may be listed as desirable in some adverts).
- The ability to put patients, families, and carers at the centre of what you do; integrity, respect, teamwork; caring about quality and willingness to learn.
Also:
- Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check required.
