A well-established, high-performing GP practice in Amersham, Buckinghamshire is seeking an experienced, enthusiastic and forward-thinking full-time Practice Manager to lead the smooth, efficient and strategic operation of our busy surgery. About You

We are looking for a motivated leader with:

  • Proven experience in practice or business management, ideally within healthcare
  • Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills
  • A positive, proactive approach with the ability to support, motivate and inspire staff
  • Strong knowledge of HR, finance and NHS regulatory requirements
  • The ability to work collaboratively with partners and external stakeholders, driving quality, innovation and service improvement

Key Responsibilities

As Practice / Business Manager, you will:

  • Lead the day-to-day running of the practice and ensure full compliance with NHS standards and statutory requirements
  • Provide strategic and operational leadership in partnership with the GP Partners
  • Support and empower clinical and administrative teams, fostering a positive, high-performing culture
  • Ensure financial sustainability through robust planning, oversight and value-for-money decision-making
  • Drive quality improvement initiatives and implement systems that enhance the patient experience
  • Develop and oversee performance, risk and governance frameworks
  • Represent the practice within a changing healthcare landscape, building strong relationships with local stakeholders
  • Champion innovation, modern models of care and new opportunities for service development
