About the Role

Healthii People is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a well-established GP training practice near Regents Park, Central London, seeking an experienced, compassionate, and proactive Practice Manager to lead their friendly and high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities

As Practice Manager, you will ensure the efficient day-to-day operation of the practice and support the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred care. Working closely with two engaged GP partners and a multidisciplinary team, you will:

  • Lead, support, and develop the administrative and support team, promoting collaboration, wellbeing, and professional growth.
  • Manage HR processes including recruitment, onboarding, appraisals, training, and absence management.
  • Oversee practice operations, including premises, IT systems, and administrative workflows.
  • Manage patient engagement, feedback, complaints, website updates, and PPG communications.
  • Oversee financial processes including budgeting, payroll, NHS pensions, income claims, and bookkeeping (Xero).
  • Monitor and enhance performance in QOF, Enhanced Services, and other contractual targets.
  • Ensure compliance with NHS, CQC, clinical governance, health & safety, and data protection requirements.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with the PCN, ICB, and other key stakeholders.

About the Practice

This is a welcoming, inclusive GP training practice located near Regents Park, Central London, in a beautiful area with access to green spaces and excellent nearby amenities including cafés, gyms, and restaurants-all within easy reach of the West End.

The practice cares for around 7,500 patients and has a dedicated team comprising:

  • Two GP partners and five salaried GPs
  • Two GP registrars
  • A nursing and administrative team (including a Reception and IT Manager)
  • PCN-supported ARRS roles (GP Assistant, Pharmacist, and Pharmacy Assistant)

About You

Essential:

  • Proven experience in a management role.
  • Demonstrated success in HR, financial management, service delivery, and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organisational ability with an approachable and collaborative style.
  • Right to work in the UK.

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in general practice or healthcare.
  • Knowledge of primary care operations, QOF, and Enhanced Services.
  • Proficiency in GP clinical systems (ideally SystmOne).
  • Familiarity with PCN and ICB structures and reporting processes.
