Practice Nurse

Location: Sheffield - [Local GP Practice]
Salary: Up to £43,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Hours: Part-time - 24 hours per week (negotiable for the right candidate)

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Practice Nurse to join our multidisciplinary team. This is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference in patient care while developing your professional skills within a forward-thinking practice.

The Role

As part of our clinical team, you'll deliver safe, effective, and evidence-based nursing care to our patient population. You'll play a key role in health promotion, chronic disease management, and preventative care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide general nursing care including wound management, immunisations, and cervical cytology.
• Manage chronic diseases such as diabetes, asthma, COPD, and hypertension.
• Deliver travel vaccinations, health promotion, and patient education.
• Conduct venepuncture, administer routine and therapeutic injections, and manage pathology results.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to QOF and audits.
• Participate in home visits, vaccination programmes, and team meetings.
• Work collaboratively with GPs, HCAs, and admin staff to ensure seamless patient care.

About You

Essential

• Registered Nurse with current NMC registration.
• Experience in general practice or primary care.
• Skilled in chronic disease management, wound care, and immunisations.
• Excellent communication, IT, and organisational skills.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development.

Desirable

• Diploma in Diabetes, Asthma, or COPD.
• Full UK driving licence and ability to conduct home visits.
