Practice Nurse - GP Practice, Camden

Hours: 2 full days on Wednesday and Friday

Healthii People are recruiting on behalf of a friendly, supportive GP practice in Camden for a motivated and caring Practice Nurse to join their team.

About the role

• 4 sessions per week
• No weekends or bank holidays
• Varied workload covering the full range of practice nursing duties (chronic disease management, immunisations, cytology, wound care, health checks, patient education, and more)

About the practice

The practice is part of North Central London CCG, rated Good by CQC. It is a teaching practice with GP registrars, based in central London with excellent transport links and amenities. The ethos is collaborative, patient-focused care, with strong support for staff development.

What we're looking for

Essential:

• RGN qualification with current NMC registration
• General Practice Nursing Certificate
• Cervical cytology and immunisation training
• Minimum 3 years' post-registration experience (including 2 in General Practice)
• Skills in chronic disease management and nurse-led clinics

Desirable:

• Accredited training in chronic disease management
• Experience with Emis Web
• Leadership skills

Key duties

• Provide high-quality nursing care including wound care, cervical cytology, immunisations, and chronic disease support (diabetes, COPD, asthma, hypertension)
• Support practice-wide vaccination campaigns (flu and others)
• Undertake health checks, health promotion, and patient education
• Contribute to maintaining robust call/recall and audit systems
• Work collaboratively with GPs, nurses, and administrative staff to deliver excellent patient care
