General Practice Nurse (Part-Time - 3 Days / 25 Hours per Week)

Location: Wokingham, South East England
Salary: £45,000 per annum FTE (actual salary pro rata, based on 25 hours/week)

About the Role:

A respected and forward-thinking healthcare organisation in Wokingham is seeking a skilled and compassionate General Practice Nurse to join its primary care team on a part-time basis (25 hours across 3 days per week). The role focuses on delivering high-quality care to patients with long-term conditions and supporting preventative healthcare initiatives in the community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver evidence-based care for patients with chronic health conditions.
  • Support public health and preventative care strategies.
  • Carry out cervical screening, vaccinations, ear care, and minor procedures.
  • Encourage healthy lifestyle choices and self-management in patients.
  • Participate in service improvement projects, clinical audits, and benchmarking.

Candidate Profile:

Essential Knowledge:

  • Chronic disease management and local public health priorities.
  • Clinical governance and healthcare policy awareness.
  • Familiarity with patient group directives and preventative care frameworks.

Essential Experience:

  • Minimum 1 year working in a General Practice setting.

Skills:

  • Competency in cervical cytology, immunisation, minor surgery, and ear care.
  • Effective verbal, written, and IT communication skills.
  • Behaviour change and health coaching techniques.
  • Ability to mentor others in a clinical setting.
