Part-Time Practice Nurse - GP Practice, Preston

Salary: Up to £43,000 per annum

A friendly GP practice in Preston is seeking an experienced Part-Time Practice Nurse with 5+ years post-registration experience. The role offers professional development in a supportive, multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage long-term conditions (diabetes, asthma, COPD, heart failure, hypertension) with care plans, monitoring, and patient education.
• Conduct cervical smears, immunizations, injections, wound care, suture/clip removal, and basic clinical procedures. Maintain vaccine storage and monitoring.
• Support health promotion, minor illness advice, women's health services, and home visits for housebound patients.
• Maintain EMIS patient records, manage supplies/equipment, and participate in audits, training, and quality improvement.

Requirements:

• 5+ years General Practice nursing experience.
• Competent in chronic disease management, treatment room duties, EMIS, and Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and ability to work independently.
• Desirable: insulin initiation/management experience.
