Practice Nurse

Location: Oswestry, Shropshire
Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Contract: Part-time or Full-time

A friendly and busy GP practice within a Primary Care Network in Oswestry, Shropshire is seeking a motivated Practice Nurse to join their team of nurses and healthcare assistants. The successful candidate will provide high-quality patient care and support the development of clinical services.

This role offers the opportunity to work part-time or full-time and involves delivering a wide range of general practice nursing services within a supportive multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities

• Chronic disease management (Diabetes, COPD, Asthma)
• Monitoring and reviewing patients with long-term conditions
• Cervical screening (smears)
• Childhood and travel immunisations
• Wound care, dressings, and treatment room duties
• ECGs, phlebotomy, and routine health checks
• Contraception services and women's health support
• Health promotion, lifestyle advice, and patient education
• Supporting quality improvement, audits, and practice protocols

Person Specification

Essential

• Registered Nurse with valid NMC registration
• Experience working within a nursing team

Desirable

• Experience in general practice
• Training in chronic disease management (Asthma, COPD, or Diabetes)
