Practice Nurse Opportunity - Primary Care (via Healthii People)

Location: Bournemouth
Hours: Part-time or Full-time (flexible). Full-time hours can be worked over 4 days.
Salary: Up to £43,000 per annum (not Agenda for Change)

Job Summary

We are seeking a Practice Nurse to join a friendly and supportive clinical team in Bournemouth. The successful candidate will run independent clinics, deliver evidence-based care, and work closely with GPs and other health professionals.

Primary Care experience is preferred, but training will be provided for the right candidate.

Key Duties

• Run nurse-led clinics including: immunisations, travel health, wound care, cervical screening, chronic disease management (asthma, COPD, diabetes)
• Carry out diagnostic and monitoring procedures: spirometry, ECGs, venepuncture, suture removal, ambulatory BP fitting
• Deliver health promotion, lifestyle advice, and opportunistic care
• Assist with minor ops, flu/COVID clinics, and emergency situations (CPR, anaphylaxis)
• Maintain accurate clinical records (SystmOne) in line with NMC standards
• Uphold infection control, equipment maintenance, and stock management
• Contribute to practice meetings, service development, and clinical governance

Person Specification

• Registered General Nurse (NMC registered)
• Primary Care experience desirable (training provided if required)
• Confident, adaptable, and committed to holistic patient care
• IT literate and confident with electronic record systems
• Professional, respectful, and strong team player
