Practice Nurse - Harrogate GP Practice

Summary

A large, long-established GP practice in Harrogate is seeking an experienced Practice Nurse to join their growing team. This is a permanent position (2-4 days per week, up to 36 hours), offering the opportunity to work within a supportive, multidisciplinary environment led by a Nurse Manager.

Work locations: Two sites in the Harrogate area
Salary: £21-£23 per hour (equivalent to up to £45,000 per annum, pro rata)

• Required workdays: Must include either Monday, Friday, or both
• Rota requirement: Participation in Enhanced Access sessions (on a 3-week rotation)

Essential Requirements

• Registered Nurse (RN) qualification
• Active NMC registration
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Good IT skills
• Commitment to professional development
• Full driving licence and access to a vehicle

Desirable Experience

• Previous primary care experience, ideally including:
• Chronic disease management
• Wound care and leg ulcer management (including Doppler and compression therapy)
• Childhood vaccinations
• Cervical cytology
• Family planning
• Health promotion
• Phlebotomy
• Familiarity with SystmOne clinical system (training available)

Additional Information

The practice operates from two sites within Harrogate, and flexibility to work across both is required.
The successful applicant will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
