Practice Nurse - GP Surgery

Location: Rugby
Hours: 30 hours per week (4-5 days)
Salary: Up to £43,000 per annum (pro rata)

Summary:
An opportunity for a Practice Nurse to support the delivery of high-quality primary care services within a GP practice, working collaboratively with GPs, nurses, and administrative staff to provide safe, effective, patient-centred care.

Key Responsibilities

• Patient assessments and care planning
• Immunisations, wound care, and health screenings
• Management of chronic disease clinics (e.g., diabetes and asthma)
• Cervical smear tests and family planning advice
• Assist with minor procedures and promote health education
• Maintain accurate clinical records and support audits/service improvement

Requirements

• Nursing degree
• Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)
• Minimum 1 year nursing experience

Desirable

• Experience in chronic disease management or GP practice
• Skills in cervical cytology, immunisation, and vaccination
• Good communication, IT, and patient education skills
